We will be happy to accommodate you in our Hotel Castello Monticello, a place to spend relaxing stays on the beautiful Giglio island. We are located in an enchanting panoramic position overlooking the sea between Giglio Porto and the Arenella beach.

The historic residence that was built in 1920 as a private villa, became in 1965 a hotel surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub overlooking the island of Giannutri and Monte Argentario.

The Hotel offers a warm, welcoming environment, with simple and pleasant furnishings. It is the ideal place for peaceful stays in harmony with nature and is located in a central point for exploring the island.

Our hotel is located in the Monticello area just above the picturesque harbor, Giglio Porto, in an excellent position for exploring the Giglio Island. The Arenella and Cannelle beaches are just a few minutes away. The adjacent provincial road leads to Giglio Castello towards the hills and on the western side there is the large beach of Campese.

Our free shuttle is available for the port and the Cannelle and Arenella beaches, while the village of Giglio Castello and the Campese beach can be reached by bus – the stop is in front of the hotel – or alternatively by taxi.

I and my fiancé stayed at Castello Monticello for two nights on the occasion of my birthday and we had a great time. The staff was friendly and gave us lots of good advice on how to get around the island. The shuttle service to/from the harbour and to the two neighbouring beaches is really good. A special thanks goes to our driver Raji 🙂 Very clean room and bathroom and very comfortable bed.

Very quaint hotel.. efficient, friendly staff always helpful and courteous. Optimal location and thanks to their private shuttle service it was easy to get around. We thank Raji for the sympathy and infinite patience he had. Breakfast rich and very good, a thank you also goes to the very young and cute waitresses, kind and efficient. You have all contributed to making this short holiday a beautiful memory ... We will definitely come back to visit you!!!!

Very pleasant stay in a professionally run establishment that at the same time offers a homely atmosphere. Very useful advice on beaches and hiking. Very good parking, cleanliness, kitchen (convenient the possibility of packed lunches) and the Wi-FI with router in the room....Only flaws: the bathroom a bit ‘cramped (however, fully functional), the impossibility of having pillows other than those provided, insufficient soundproofing (luckily the other guests were very quiet) and the wobbly drying rack; all flaws forgivable for a three star.

We stayed one night, but we had a great time, what struck us was the kindness of the staff, the structure, the ‘excellent location for both the bus stop, both for the paths, nor We discovered one right under the structure that leads to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, very similar to the Seychelles, arenella, we will definitely return. Ps: dinner at the hotel recommended fish of excellent quality

Old-style hotel, actually looks like a castle, in a panoramic and strategic position for beaches and excursions, for those who don't want to walk the shuttle bus is a plus. Really clean, which is not taken for granted, excellent cuisine, rich and varied breakfast, welcoming spaces both inside and outside, simply furnished rooms and very comfortable bed. The stay was very pleasant.The facility is located in a strategic point edotata of a convenient parking.Il courteous staff. Excellent breakfast, very comfortable beds. Excellent service is also the cleanliness. The only drawback is the subdivision of space not very functional, for lack of support in both rooms and bathrooms and the absence of a lift. We will return.

Location fantastica, punto strategico per visitare l’isola con fermata bus per Giglio castello a pochi metri e navetta gratuita per le spiagge. Camere pulite e ordinate, letto comodo. Personale professionale e cortese. Colazione a Buffet ottima con vista mare ineguagliabile, l’idea del lunch box per il pranzo molto valida.
